Im getting an intel i5-9600k with a rtx 2070 gpu. Ill be getting a Hyper 212 evo for the processor and the case im getting is the NZXT H500 with one rear fan and one top fan... Will this be enough cooling for stock settings? And also would it be enough for overclocking the cpu slightly.

Solution

That CPU cooler isn't close to being sufficient for that processor. The Noctua NH-D15 barely handles it.

Even the Corsair H115i was hard pressed.

Here is a review. Note the section on overclocking.

I have an NZXT Phantom 410, so I'm pretty familiar with the brand.

The NZXT H500 isn't the best series in terms of breathability, but it should be fine on stock settings (if you did get the case, I would buy a couple fans to put behind the front panel, there's a couple slots there).

If you were planning to overclock, I would consider looking for a case that has 2 fan vents on the top instead of 1 and/or a case with a vent on the front to help pull in air. NZXT's cases rely on the top and back vents to let out heat and the front, buttom, and sometimes side to pull air in.

Tip: You might find a little difficulty managing cables with the H500 just so you know.

Hope I was helpful!

I would put two 120mm or 140mm in the front as intakes. Then I would put a 120 mm or 140mm in the top and rear as exhausts.

I would suggest 4-pin PWM quiet fans for the case fans.

I would suggest the Corsair H115i CPU cooler (your case doesn't support 360mm radiators).
