I'm buying a pc for a friend and he got the nzxt hue+ and i plugged everything in

Molex to molex
usb to header( even tried usb into case usb ports)
Connected led strip to connectors that are part of the hue itself

They flashed on for half a second and then turned off and the first time i tried it they didn't work at all and still haven't

I don't know if any of you have checked this, but did you plug in the cables in the right direction? The little arrow on the extension cables should be point to the "5V" on the end of the cable. If it is not, the LED strips wont work at all.

I had an issue where my unit wouldn't be recognized in the CAM software too. After I jumped through all the hoops, I sent an RMA request to NZXT. I packaged up my old unit and send it to them. They paid for postage so I didn't pay to ship it. They sent me a brand new unit and about 10 days later, I had it in my mailbox.

I won't deny that the Hue+ felt a bit rushed, as many of their units had (or still have) issues. That being said, as long as you are pleasant with them, NZXT has some fantastic...
I bought the hue plus last month. So far i have not got it to work yet. I plugged everything in and all of the led strips lit up white. According to the manual that is supposed to happen. All good right? Wrong!! I downloaded the cam software and that is where the Headache and frustration began. Cam does not recognize hue plus in the software. I tried all the troubleshooting tips. Unistall cam reinstall cam, switch to a different usb hub reboot pc bla bla bla. i have tried everything but hop on one leg and say the alphabet in reverse. I submitted a ticket to nzxt and descibed in detail my issue and everything that i have tried to do to fix the problem. A week later i received an email from nzxt instructing me to do the very same thing i have already done at least 15 times. Unistall cam reinstall cam, reboot pc, switch to a different usb hub. To no avail. And now one of the four strips will not light up. At This point the product is garbage and a waste of 60 dollars.over the weekend i went to frys and bought a rgb led with remote control and a couple of led strips. Spent another 32 dollars but went home hooked it up and it works great. Im not sure why your strips will not light up but to be honest, i would not spend another minute trying to get this damn thing to work.

Give them a shout if you're still having problems and they can either send you a new unit or replacement parts.
