Hi,
I'm currently in the process of building a new PC. I'm using an NZXT Phantom 410 Mid case, and an ASUS Z170-A Motherboard. I'm unsure of how to plug in the fans. The manual that came with the case doesn't say anything about the connectors other than that they're 3-pin, and I'm merely inferring that they're for the fans. There's nowhere to plug them in on the motherboard, as there's only slots for 4-pin connectors. I've been looking around for answers and I see a few people saying a 3-pin connector can still fit into a 4-pin slot, but when I try to do that it falls out from the slightest movement, it doesn't click in or anything.There also doesn't seem to be a way to plug them into the fan controller at the top of the case, it only has USB ports and two round slots. I've seen a few people mention plugging them into a MOLEX but the 3-pin connectors are square-shaped so that doesn't make any sense. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Edit: I haven't turned the computer on at all yet, so I don't know whether or not the fans work or are just set to default because their connectors aren't plugged in. On the back of the case I see a few identical 3-pin connectors that are already plugged into something. I can't trace the wires because they go through the inside of the case. Are they perhaps already connected to the fans and I just have four extra ones for additional fans?
