Nzxt Phantom 410 issues

Hello, i have recently bought a Nzxt Phantom 410 and i was putting in the fans that come with the case. I did not plug them in correctly the first time and smoke came out of the fan controller. I then correctly put the large molex into my power supply unit but i have not had any of the fans turn on when i turn on the computer(the comp does turn on and go to my asus splash screen) Have i shorted out the fan controller and if so can the fans still turn on some other way?

IF your built in fan controller is dead your nly option is to connect your fast to the motherboard using the 3-pin connectors and get 3-pin to molex and connect them to the power supply for the rest.
If you still want to control them, then you would have to get another dedicated fan controller
