Hi everyone. I have this problem that is occurring ever since I can remember building my computer early this year.

Every time I press the power button (or reset button) to turn my computer on the back LED for helping see the I/O ports in a dark space turns on with it. It's trivial, but now it's just very annoying and sometimes I forget to turn it off and it stays on for the entire duration of the computer's power-on time (which can be days at times).

I tried disconnecting the LED wire but sadly the fan control hub is also wired with the LED in the case's pre-built wiring. So disconnecting LED means turning off all case fans...

- CPU: Intel i7 4770k
- Mobo: ASUS ROG Maximus Hero VI
- RAM: Kingston HyperX 8GB Black
- HDD: Seagate Desktop 2TB
- SSD: Intel 530 240GB
- GPU: MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr OC 2GB
- PSU: EVGA NEX750G 80+ GOLD
- Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
- Fans: Stock NZXT front 200mm and rear 140mm fans
- Case: NZXT Phantom 530 (Black)
- Writer: ASUS DRW-24F1ST DVD Drive

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Nevermind. I contacted NZXT and they said the I/O LED is supposed to turn on as soon as any power is supplied. One solution is to disconnect the 2pin prong that comes from the fan controller area on top of the case and goes to the rear I/O LED or cut the wire leading to the LED. I'll probably disconnect it. Wish NZXT wired it to be off by default...
