Hello,

I'm building my first computer soon and I'm somewhat of a beginner so sorry if this is a noob question. I'd like to know if the NZXT E850 Power supply is compatible with the RTX 2080Ti reference card.

Thanks you loads,

Solution
The E650 has 4x 6+2pin (ie 8pin) connectors. More than capable for a 2080TI.

As mentioned though, a lot of money for the added feature of digital monitoring for your PSU. Might be worth a $10-$20 surcharge vs the underlying platform from SeaSonic (to some people), but not to me.

I see absolutely no reason to spend $140 on a 650W unit, when (essentially) the same PSU is $70
Or $150 on the E850 when the Focus+Gold is $95
Yes, completely compatible.

No issues there.

IIRC, the NZXT "E" units are based off SeaSonic's Focus+Gold platform (at least the Ex50 units are, not sure about the E500)
You pay a sizeable premiuum for the PSU monitoring functionality.

+$60 or so for that 'feature'.

Solution
Hello Barty1884,

Thanks for extra information. My plan is to have a mostly-NZXT-themed computer which is the reasoning behind this power supply. I may look at other options if it becomes and issue though.

Thanks again,

The PSU integration with CAM software is a cool idea - I just don't feel it brings enough value for the added cost.
Entirely up to you, of course.

NZXT, while trying (PSUs, MB) are simply smaller players in those spaces - so don't have the volume to drive costs down much.
What they offer, don't really bring much to the table vs competitors - while costing a sizeable volume more.

Their coolers are solid, their cases are great. Personally, I can't see a justification for their MBs or PSUs at their current pricing.
Not 'bad' products by any means, just bad pricing.
