nzxt psu 850w can handle r9 290 crossfire

I have a nzxt hale 90 v2 850 watt and i was wondering if i could run two r9 290 in crossfire i dont plan on overclocking them, its because i plan on getting a 1440p monitor , so my set up is a
i5 4690k @ 4.0
8gb of ram
asus z97 sabertooth
in a corsair 760t case
so can that psu handle two r9 290 they might be xfx or msi ones
or should i get two r9 280x in crossfire because i could get two for 220
or stick with one r9 290x from asus

A quality 850w power supply miminum is needed for R9 290 crossfire.

Your power supply is sufficient enough although you won't have so much headroom to work with, but definitely good enough to handle R9 290 CF.

A 290x should be enough for 1440p at good frame rates

well avoid ASUS R9 290 coz the cooler wasn't designed for them just go for the Tri-X or Toxic or Tri-x Vapor-X they are the quitest/coolest cards out there

msi would be my second choice coz of cold VRMs

what would be better i am getting an asus r9 290x or a msi r9 290 with a nzxt g10 with h55 cooler for 1440p gaming i just want to get around 45 to 60 fps or get r9 280x in crossfire , the r9 290x and msi r9 290 are the same price 225 and the two r9 280x with be 300
