Hello all, I've been saving to build a gaming/workstaion PC, these are the specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte x370 Gaming K7
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3000mhz
Storage: 250GB Sandisk SSD + 2TB WD Black
OS: Windows 10
Case: Corsair 400C

Here is my question, I am thinking of getting the NZXT Hue+ LED strips and the AER RGB 120mm Fans to make my build lit. I know that you can have up to 4 LED strips connected to 1 connector on the HUE+ Controller but how many fans can you have connected to it on the second connector? I want 3 RGB fans in the front and 1 RGB fan exhausting.

Solution
I got HUE+ inside my Skylake build (full specs in my sig), and it's true that HUE+ supports up to 4x LED strips per one channel. There are 10 LEDs per one LED strip, making total channel support of 40 LEDs.

As far as AER RGB fans go, HUE+ supports up to 5x AER RGB fans per channel. You'll have 8 LEDs per 1 fan. With 5x fans, total amount of LEDs would be 40, same amount as with 4x LED strips.

Due to the limitations of HUE+ firmware, you can't combine AER RGB fans and LED strips on a single channel. E.g have 2x AER RGB fans (with total of 16 LEDs) and 2x LED stips (with total of 20 LEDs) on single HUE+ channel, despite the total amount of LEDs being below the max 40 LEDs supported per one channel.

NZXT might update the firmware in the...

NZXT might update the firmware in the future so people can combine AER RGB fans and LED strips to one channel but as far as i know, it's not possible at current date.
Since i'm in the process of obtaining LED strips and i don't have them yet (i only have 3x AER140 RGB fans), i can't test it out if the combined support for one channel has been added or not.

For getting HUE+, LED strips and AER RGB fans, buy the HUE+ with LED strips first,
specs: https://www.nzxt.com/products/hue-plus

And then buy the AER RGB fans separately,
specs: https://www.nzxt.com/products/aer-rgb

But if you do the other way around (like i did), by buying the AER RGB & HUE+ combo,
specs: https://www.nzxt.com/products/aer-rgb-hue

With the idea of getting only the LED strips afterwards,
specs: https://www.nzxt.com/products/hue-plus-extension-kit

Then do note that you'll be missing the LED connector cable to connect your LED strips to HUE+. In this case, you need to contact NZXT and present them the invoice of HUE+ purchase, so that NZXT would send you the missing and needed LED connector cable. (I received mine few weeks ago.)
