NZXT S340 and TP Link N900 backplate

so the backplate of the TP Link N900 won't fit into the back of the case. The backplate is a bit taller than the slot in the case. I can take the backplate off and the card itself fits perfect, even with the backplate off the antennae ports on back of the card BARELY fit through the case slot...i guess the question is, is it ok to leave it installed without a backplate, or mill it down so i could have it screwed in like intended?

Brackets on a GPU are there to support the device in place so it doesn't sag or damage the PCIe slot from being too heavy.

I don't think a bracket on a Wi-Fi card is going to make a difference considering the cards are usually very light. So it should be ok to not use it if it works like that and the slot on the motherboard is holding it sufficiently.

Different cases have different bracket sizes. Usually its full height or a low-profile size. And if you didn't know already, the antennas can be unscrewed, if that helps...
