NZXT Source 220 liquid cooling options

Are you able to put 120mm liquid cooling in an NZXT S220 case? Can't it just go on of on the places where the fan goes?

1. Be aware that even a 2 x 120mm CLC type liquid cooler will not provide cooling as good as an air cooler which costs 60% as much.

2. But no, you do need a bit more room than a 120mm fan takes up to allow for the hose connections

3. The link to the NZXT 220 that one would expect to have this information is 404'ing. Check there if it comes back up

What do you mean 2x120mm i have a 240 rad and my temps are way below what they were with any air cooler.
And i got my aio on sale for 65$ i also had a rebate. and you could just put a 120 rad on any 120 fan it wouldnt really matter as long as you have the proper space and you could definetly fit a 120 in the 220

a 65$ air cooler like Noctua NH-D15 will do the same or better temperature as any crappy wannabe liquid cooling AiO , at much lower noise.

Yes you can - but that would be a complete waste of money. a 30-50$ cooler will perform better and quieter

Let's "do the math"... 17:10 mark

Noctua NH-D15 Air Cooler = 71 C @ 33 dbA
Cryorig R1 Ultimate Air Cooler = 70 C @ 38 dbA
Corsair H100i CLC = 73C @ 68 dbA

So what I mean is .... the 73C from the CLC is hotter than air coolers 70C or 71C ... and to get that close the H100i is almost 12 times as loud. So lets say, we are going to limit it to sound levels quieter than say a vacuum cleaner (17:45 mark). At 40 dbA max

Noctua NH-D15 Air Cooler = 71 C @ 33 dbA
Cryorig R1 Ultimate Air Cooler = 70 C @ 38 dbA
Corsair H100i CLC = 76C @ 39 dbA

So again, almost apples to apples but not quite ... so what I mean is .... the 76C from the CLC is a whole lot hotter than the air coolers 70C or 71C ... and the CLC is still 50% louder !

On top of that the air coolers are cheaper.... so it's a win-win-win ... lower cost ... lower temps ... lower noise.
