O/C'ing a 1gig Tbird

I'm about to assemble my next PC and here's the 'basics' of what I have:

AMD 1G Tbird
Abit KT7A RAID
Crucial 256 meg CAS2 RAM

Question is, is it worth trying to o/c the Tbird beyond 1gig? I'm just wondering because if I have to unlock anything (close L1 bridges, up the voltage to 1.85v), etc. I want to do it before installing the CPu/fan, etc.

It will run faster if you do overclock it (fps and etc.), but I think you won't notice the difference. It also might run a little hotter, but that all depends on how cool you keep it and also how your case fans are setup.
