O&O reports system drive's file-system as damaged

Is this a problem? I've noticed the system is a little slow at some hard drive-intensive tasks (like recording audio) but will happily play system-intensive games (like BF2).

So you ran a check Disk or $* and giggles and it printed corrupt files?
I would suggest running some SMART tools to see why this corruption occurred, it could be fragmentation which if common and nothing to worry about. However it a partition is failing you should be concerned about drive failure. Anything in the event logs from Disk?

If you can recommend a more in-depth program than Check Disk, I'll give it a go and provide a more detailed error message.
