o/s install on formatted hard drive

hey guys ive had a problem were my computer wont load past the mobo manufacturing screen and nothing I dowill force boot it I cant even boot to safe mode now the thing I have not tried is to format my hard drive and reinstall windows now I kno its either windows or my hdd cuz when I plug it in to my girlfiends pc hers stops working and vice versa soooo anyhone recon this could work??? its this or I have to rma my harddrive witch will take like 2 weeks 🙁

check with your hand to see if the hard drive is spinning. if it failed it can lock the system up. if you can feel it moving power down your rig and unplug the drive. if your rig is working fine yu get a message no boot devices found. if that pop up's your drive is toast.
