I am in hell difficulty, in river of flame ( where you have to activate the
5 seals) I just make it in the door and get my ass handed to me by those
damned oblivion knights.....what the hell are they using?

They use strong elemental attacks, bone spirit (not too strong) and most of
the necromancer curses. If you are a melee character watch out for iron
maiden (returns ~300% of physical damage). Maybe thats the thing which made
your life that hard...

If you could post your characters setup it is easier to help.

barbarian...strong on the whirlwing side
stromg attack and defence...high life...the damn knights take me out with
one hit....every other opponent i can let hit me for a full minute b4 any
noticable damage occurs...took my first hardcore barb to hell....bet ya cant
guess what killed him!

Thats bonespirit. Its magic damage only. I don't think its blockable. You
have to outrun it or take the hit (it's auto-targeting).

But still look out for iron maiden. That curse will either kill you while
whirling or weaken so much that you get kill by a single hit of whatever
comes near you.

The only way to avoid death by iron maiden is berserk. One point should be
enough.

WW barb, hmm, I would say as you get near them, they seem to try to hit
you when in fact they cast IM, and if you are in the midst of hitting
them or someone else, you will usually die immediately.
