60 FPS In-game. Recorded gameplay is smooth with stuttering which is very annoying.

Im only recording my gameplay but when I always check the recorded video. It always have stutters. I have no idea how to fix it.

Solution
Try resetting your graphics drivers. Install DDU and run that program in safe mode.

Then once your back into windows after restarting, install the latest Radeon drivers.
If you are using AMD's GPU for the recording, that is your problem. AMD's implementation of GPU hardware acceleration for recording gameplay is horrible. If you max your GPU out at ALL, period, you will get stuttering in the recording.

Either find a way to make sure your GPU is below 90% usage, or record with x264 with ryzen.

I did try recording with x264. However, the same problem persist.

Is that okay? At the moment i can at most play on my highest reaolution which is 1366x768. I still havent got a 1080p monitor

I'll try running it on 720p. I'll update you about the performance on OBS after I try it out. Thanks good sir

This will just make your CPU and GPU work the hardest just for the game.
When using OBS there is a setting in the advanced tab where you can put the recording in a higher priority that should help with getting a smoother recording.
(Also I suppose you have a decent hdd where you record to)

So I should just keep my settings as is instead of toning them down?

Here's an update guys.

Tried playing rainbow six siege on low preset. x264 3500 bitrate ultrafast preset on cpu.

Still getting this sudden fps drops on my videos recorded.
