anyone know the gpu and voltage scaling of this line?? 700mhz isn't stable and i don't know if it needs more volts.

675mhz is stable, but i will find out later what the max gpu mhz i can get to

memory i will do later, CCC says the cap is 1200 so i have 200mhz i can play with.

Some 4850s have a 3D volt of 1.16 or 1.18, You can get upto 1.2V if you edit your GPU BIOS. If you need more voltage you will have to do a hardware mod(like Pencil mod or soldering mod)

Just remember you can kill your card if you do the hardware mods. And If you mod the BIOS you can turn it into a doorstop.

I did the GPU pencil mod and I am stable at 700/1100. I have not moded the BIOS or CCC.

Without any volt mods, 675/1100 is pretty much an average max. Even after upping the volts on my 4850, I really couldn't get 700MHz 100% stable (run Furmark to see if it's 100% stable) So I back the volts down to 1.15 and settled for 685MHz/1100 memory. Good luck!

The problem most people have with the higher clocks is that stock cooling can't keep up with it. With stock cooling I only could get up to 670/1100 and be stable with upped voltage in ATI Tray Tools. After I replaced the stock cooler with my new Accelero S1 Rev.2 the temps under load dropped 40C. It let me get my clocks up to 750/1175 and its stable through Furmark, full load temp is at 57C. idle is at 37C. This was with no hardware voltage mods either, I might do the pencil mod to see if it lets me get up to 750/1200. Get an after market cooler for your card and you will be fine.
