OC BUILD VS OC BUILD which would you get and why

http://imgur.com/cXMYHbf

1) better PSU
2) r9 390 is easily overclockable and can match a 390x with a little tweaking.
3) newer intel platform

Problem:

You forgot a HDD. doubt 120gb ssd is enough.

both will overclock similarly. i don't know why this concerns you though. .2ghz will barely make a difference in game.

would be smarter to lose the r1 and overclocking boards. switch to a h170 or h97 board and buy a non k i7 using the stock cooler. that would be a much better option. it'd be better performance and less of a waste of money.

#1 the newer platform is better, but not THAT much better. there is a bigger difference between 390 and 390x than there is between 4690k and 6600k.

either build will require a bigger case, the SPEC-03 supports coolers up to 157mm and the R1 ultimate is 168.3mm

sorry fam i forgot the Hdd dw it will be the seagate 2tb barracuda one...

now about that ive actually noticed that ocing an i5 on games will be much more resultful than getting a non oc i7... you see games barely even use 8 cores or 8 threads at a time.. most of the time core1 is being devoured.... so having a better oc makes it twice the fun..... and also check out this video:

the cooler is big for a reason, the same reason that you want it :)

the CM HAF 912 is a decent case that is compatible and is the same price. also, switch power supply to
Seasonic M12II 620W much better unit, only a bit more expensive.

I have the HAF 912, and while I find it crazy ugly, it's great at cooling. I bought a new card yesterday, a 970 and I had to wiggle it to get it in. I didn't know that there were cards that didn't fit in it. I went on PC Part Picker just to see if it's a flagged combo, and yep, max length 270mm. Well, if you wan't to remove your drive bays, which, since you're getting a 2tb HDD, isn't really an option. The SSD has a small cage on the floor that can hold it, so: If you go with the 912, change your HDD to a 2.5inch, then mount it with the SSD and pull the 3.5 cage. Then you can fit cards up to 360mm.

1st all the compatibly cases are old somehow... all the new gen are smal... except the graphite 780t... which is way expensive.... so its down to haf 912... which sadly has no side view or a Tt case..... or just get the CM H80i or seidon 120V... lol i never asked how good are the liquid coolers.....

2nd no fam..... the r9 390's recommended psu is 650w.... and ill be ocing... the 620w variant wont do good id rather get the m12ii but the 750w one which i will already get dw.

yeah i hate it doesnt have a side view...
but about the hdd cage no... the r9 390 is a bit smaller than gtx 970.... and i aint getting a 2.5inch hdd because i already have a 500gb in my older pc which stores some valuable information for me.... and i dont wanna go on with 1,5tb for gaming..... so this is will be a next level PITA id rather save 110 usd to get the 780t if its bringing me all this noise..... and i dont want the 780t because its big for nothing and i wont even Crossfire m8... so its a bit disturbing.
