That's the thing I can't see any labels and only a small switch near power cable ... I don't recall if I switched it before but my gpu is making my browser stutter... and had a couple times flicker . So was wondering if I am running it on suboptimal setting.. It was switched to left.it is default in performance mode/OC
it should be labelled, if you look properly, and you don't need a label, if you know it's currently in OC bios mode (if you haven't changed anything yet, will be default OC mode) you can switch to the other 'Silent mode' (no OC settings loaded) with the switch, but i don't see why you need to do so.
Check performance now and recheck after moving switch, It's not permanent. If same, Quiet would be better. It's not only quieter but also runs cooler. That's the thing I can't see any labels and only a small switch near power cable ... I literally don't know how to check , The switch is there but no label of which side is OC , And the box came with no paper to tell , i can't find anything online either /: general rule of thumb would be which side oc and which normal? like left or right?Check performance now and recheck after moving switch, It's not permanent. Run a benchmark program like https://benchmark.unigine.com/heaven Geekmark or Passmark Performance test https://www.passmark.com/products/performancetest/ they can tell you more about GPU and it's influence on rest of the system and system's influence on graphics. They are handy to keep as a baseline even if you know switch position.I literally don't know how to check , The switch is there but no label of which side is OC , And the box came with no paper to tell , i can't find anything online either /: general rule of thumb would be which side oc and which normal? like left or right?
yep.IT would be this card right?
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 TI Eagle OC 12GB
Thank you , I was able to see the small writing (was impossible to see with my CPU cooler /: ) i much appreciate your help figuring this out
i cannot be 100% certain but when i am playing WoW , the browser becomes very laggy (clickin on skip video / forward just lags it on youtube) , I have everything up to date , its a new system barely 2 weeks old. I checked again and everything mentioned above is looked at. Only thing i noticed last night was my pc had this 'screeching' noise , i assumed it is GPU? My 7800x3d when gaming is somwehere between 75 to 85c° and my Pc makes a lot on noise , I set my fan curves a bit low in Bios and Fan response to temps at 0.3sec instead 0.1All those switches do is alter the fan curve ever so slightly, and apply/remove a very slight overclock and that only at boost clocks. Your GPU should be at or near idle clocks when solely browsing. If the flicker you refer to is the GPU it's unlikely that switching from "Silent" to "OC" will make a difference. More importantly, are all drivers up to date? OS up to date? Browser up to date? BIOS up to date? Other heavy tasks running? HDMI/DP cable secure and undamaged? Does it happen when scrolling? Is the mouse wheel sensor clean? (Literally had that one myself). I'm not saying it's not the GPU, but consider these other things as they may be causing the GPU issue (except the mouse one).
Is this a prebuilt? If so it may have some questionable software suites installed. Still, shouldn't be that big of an issue although I usually remove all the OEM add ons and manage updates etc myself. Squeeling.....coil whine maybe? I've never had a GPU with it though I tend to run rather aggressive fan curves to keep things cool which may cover any I may have had up. Unlikely possibility is a dry fan bearing, that would be an RMA issue.i cannot be 100% certain but when i am playing WoW , the browser becomes very laggy (clickin on skip video / forward just lags it on youtube) , I have everything up to date , its a new system barely 2 weeks old.
