The only option similar to that in the bios that i see is FSB strap to north bridge, which is set to auto. Is i adjust the FSB, the RAM frequency automatically changes. I set the RAM down one step and raised the FSB to somewhere around 355mhz so that the ram was automatically adjusted to 1065mhz. The computer booted, and i will try getting the FSB higher, but why does the RAM freq adjust itself?

The ram freq adjusts itself because somewhere there will be a setting that has a whole bunch of ratio's and will usually be set to "auto"

you need to set it to "unlinked".

that way it will unlink the memory from the cpu

I've looked over the entire BIOS for the FSB and DRAM unlink option, but i could not find it. Are there any ASUS motherboard users who could tell me where it is?
