Hi and welcome to the overclocking sector!

You do have one major drawback, you have a 970 chipset, which is not the best for OC, which it never really was, though your board is a slight exception. You have the right Cooler for OC as well, and I would suggest a good and safe overclock would be 4.3/4.4 Ghz, and nothing significantly over, as said again, it is not designed for overclocking and you could do an unstable overclock. If you go to around 5Ghz, you can and will damage hardware and it isn't covered by warranty, so stay on the safe side!

completely agree with this!

you should be able to easily get 4.4ghz out of it

I ran a Gigabyte 970 board with my 8350 and 4.5ghz was the best I could get stable

Upgraded to the Asus Sabertooth 990FX Rev2.0 and that unlocked a whole heap of overclocking headroom

Be warned though, the 8350 has some serious voltage walls. 4.5 and below doesn't require toomuch of a voltage bump, but after that the voltage/heat really starts ramping up.

If you're going to explore overclocking, make sure you have really good airflow in your case
