Can anyone provide me with some values for oc-ing a asus 280x ? normal oc-ing

First off, these new R9 GPUs from AMD are very high clocked and dont provide good overclocking headroom. The best way to find a good OC for your GPU in particular is to increase in 10-20Mhz increments until it becomes unstable.

A good guestimate for OCing is 5%. Try adding 5% to your GPU and see where you go from there.
