[SOLVED] OC Limit?

I've overclocked my i5 3570k to 4.7ghz with 1.25V and it's stable, but when I try to reach up to 4.8ghz the voltage jump seems ridiculously high, to have 4.8 stable I need 1.38. Is this some sort of 'soft cap' on my CPU or am I doing something wrong?

Solution
I don't think you're doing anything wrong. That's a better then average result at HWBOT for that CPU.

Air and water cooling both have the limit of not being able to cool below room (ambient) temperature. Big water looops just let you get closer to that limit of those methods. More Voltage= more heat. The problem with colder methods is they condense water out of the air onto the electronics and that needs to be dealt with.
I think I had done something wrong in the BIOS earlier, because this time I reset everything to default then went to 4.8ghz with 1.295V and it's running stable now!
