I have the following..

- Corsair 450D Case
- Corsair cx750 PSU
- Asus Z170 Pro Gaming mobo
- Intel i7 6700k CPU @ 4.6 ghz
- Cryorig H7 Tower Cooler
- EVGA Gtx 1060 6gb SSC GPU
- G Skill Ripjaws v series 2x8 gb Ram @ 3200
- 4x af140mm led fans (2 going in front..2 going out top)
- 1x af120mm led fan going out the back

Now my cpu is successfully overclocked and running very stable.

I have overclocked the gpu to the following settings in EVGA Precision.

Core: +108
Memory: +400
Power Limit: Maxed at 120%
Temp Limit: Maxed at 92°
Voltage Meter: +0
Fan Curve: Preset Aggressive

If I set the core clock to 120 i get artifacts with temps around 60. And..the same happens of I go higher on the memory clock. In 3dmark firestrike I get artifacts..and ungine heaven just doesnt make it through a benchmark and crashes.. Yet the GPU remains only around 60°.

I guess the question is.. Is this the cards limit or not? If not..what do I have to do? Im confortable with the card getting up to 80°..but cant seem to push it that hard without getting artifacts.

Solution
You wont need to do anything to the mobo bios. You would just move up the voltage slider and that will take care of it.

Bumping the core clock is where you will see the most improvement. It may be stable at 132 with the mem at 0 because you don't have enough voltage, but it is a little odd.

If you want more, move the voltage all the way up and set both clocks to 0 and run a base line. Then do one at a time. Start with memory. If it is stable at 400, then start bumping it up in 5-10 increments till you get artifacts. Then you will hit the ceiling.

Then I would drop the mem back to 0 and go to the core clock with the voltage at max. If it is stable at 108, I would start there and bump it up in 5-10 increments till it crashes...
Your card is at its limit with the voltage set to 0. If I were you I would leave it right there as NVidia has said that increasing voltage with Pascal can shorten the life of the card. But if you want more, then increase the voltage and it may give you more room to bump up the core clock. Your temps will go up some, but 60C is very low and you have some room.

Honestly though, I would be happy with what you have. You might see a 1-2% increase in FPS by squeezing more out of the card and you will never notice the 1-2% increase unless you are running benchmarks. Even then, there is still a margin of error.

Also.. If I leave the memory clock to 0.. I can bring the core clock up to 132 without issues.. Should I focus on the 108 core 400 mem for balance or focus on core clock?

Then I would run a bench with both the memory and core clock at the setting below your ceiling with the voltage at max. See if you get a crash. You may want to stress test for awhile to get the GPU hot so you will know if it will crash in the middle of a game. If it crashes, then back down on some settings.

Ok.. I got it up to 120 core +400 with voltage at +50..no crashes..no artifacts.. But only gained like 1fps.. I am going to go with my original settings.. As you suggested and end up with..

Core Clock: 2126 mhz
Memory clock: 4017mhz
Temps: 62° Max

And run stress tests..benchmarks are solid at this level.

True :). Im satisfied with it.. The 1060 6gb is perfect for me because I dont have a 4k tv otherwise Id have a 1080 in there lol. But props to nvidia .. This 1060 is able to run all the aaa titles Ive thrown at it on ultra settings 1080p. Which is flawless.

Thanks for the tips and help..appreciate your time!
