Hi I want to overclock the q6600 to 3.0 or 3.2 ghz. I need advice about what ram I should take for my system.

My specs are:

Asus P5KC
Intel Quad Q6600
Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme + Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F

I have this in mind?

G.Skill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ (1GB x 2) http://www.gskill.com/en/f2-6400phu2-hz.html

G.Skill F2-6400CL4D-2GBPK (1GB x 2) http://www.gskill.com/en/f2-6400cl4d-pk.html

Ballistix PC2-8500 http://www.crucial.com/store/partspe...KIT12864AA1065

Kingston KHX6400D2LLK2/2G http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KHX6400D2LLK2_2G.pdf

Mushkin XP2-8500 http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/...ail.asp?id=523

Can somone pls give me some advice what one's or other one's I should take for my system? Many thanks

The Crucial Ballistix can do 3-3-3-8 @800MHz @1.95-2.1volts or 5-5-5-15 @1200MHz @2.2volts. I have two different PC's with these Ballistix and both pairs can do the above timings & MHz. Those GSkill's are great and very popular, but need 2.4 volts and thats more volts that I'd like to give any Ram. The Ballistix can be had for $159.99 at NewEgg right now. Just look at my overclock in my sig, I know I can go to 3.8GHz but temps are to high for air cooling.

That are the pc8500 one right? I think thats really nice :pt1cable:

Yes those are the ones, you can get the Ballistix Tracer (fast moving LED lights) which is really cool! They cost a bit more though, this Ram is really the best you can get anywhere.
