Question Occasional black corner of monitor - starting to go out?

I have a Samsung Odessey g5 monitor (4k capable 27 inch curved screen).

Recently I have been experiencing a sudden flicker in the top left corner of the screen - the corner area turns black and then immediately goes back to normal.

Come to think it of it it began doing this around the same time I hooked it up to my new gaming laptop.

Is the screen going bad or is there something wrong with the connection between my laptop and monitor?

Is this possibly a transparent overlay from one of your apps? If you move your mouse pointer to that area, does anything happen? Are you using any apps for monitoring temperatures, tracking FPS, etc?

No to any of those. I just a little while ago noticed it's happening when a window pops up

Yes I've still got my old laptop. I won't be too update until Sunday however as I am busy until then. I'll let you know.

Sounds like a bad/poor cable. I suggest replacing.
