[SOLVED] Occasional black screen on boot after upgrading ram?

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 laptop (17ITH6H) and I decided to change out the ram. I removed two sticks of 8GB 1Rx16 and swapped them out for two sticks of 16GB 2Rx8. Same speed as the stock ones at 3200. Not every time I boot, but sometimes I will go to boot my laptop and the screen just stays black but the keyboard will light up and it will remain in this state until I power off with the button. Once I press it again, it will power on as normal. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Solution
Once I realized this issue was happening, I noticed there was an update for the BIOS through the Lenovo app, so I went ahead and updated it. So no, I apparently was not on the latest version of bios when I made the swap. The stock ram seems to be this https://www.newegg.com/samsung-8gb-260-pin-ddr4-so-dimm/p/0RM-0092-001C2 which is what came in the laptop. The ram that I upgraded to was this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C4X9VR5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 . Since this issue happens only 50% of the time when I boot, could it really be that the laptop can't support 32gb? Thanks for the help.
Indeed, Crucial only offers the 2 x 8Gb kit as compatible with your laptop...

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Did you make sure you were on the latest BIOS version prior to swapping the rams out for the new ones? Speaking of rams, mind sharing what the rams were prior to the upgrade? What rams did you pick up as an upgrade?

Officially, the laptop's specs state 16GB's is it's max.

I don't think anyone here has a clue about pc at all, if you don't know basic of ram is the rule of thumb similar to how changing a GPU pasta, my thread has 100 plus views and no answers and is a dam question about DRAM frequency, so 99 of bsod on computer are made and polished by RAM module, not your drivers not.. extremely rare to actually have driver issues and not know by 4th installation yes this is the right "insert" inf file. Anyway, I dunno much about'em, apparently seems that motherboards all of'em no matter how expensive they're they're still 30yrs back and this being said, you'd need to adjust your DRAM frequency/voltage manually by your MHZ. I don't think DIMMS works diff than the standard NON/ECC but multiply by 2 so 3200 in your case must be 1600, if not it's still in realm of possibilty even 1333. This is not a vent but in my current hopefully not on going issue.. I've discovered many things such as we live in a world where there's no actual license for operating system but is bought by a mainstream company and we call'em "license key", yeah, i wasn't shook many times in life but don't take this away from me. I have no idea why motherboard breaks RAM modules but there's still ppl like me out there and I think you'll solve your issue. The DRAM voltage needs to be 1.4v at very least, not below. In your case such as 1.2v... I think you'd have to find by trial and error, you'd get at least 3 chances. Remember MHZ/Voltage rating is marketing!

Your problems are likely caused by the larger than supported amount of RAM
