I built this a bit back and it's had a few problems. I've never really had the spare cash to buy components to try and work out what caused them.
Anyway here are the problems:
This computer occasionally freezes. It's not massively common, say it happens once every couple of days and I use the computer a lot, say 8 hours a day minimum. It will totally freeze in these incidents and have to be turned off and on again. When turning it on, the power button at the front only tends to work like the third or fourth time. Outside of these incidents it works perfectly well.
The other problem is that the power settings seem to be messed up. I set it to never go to sleep or turn off due to being inactive, but it turns off after a couple of hours of no activity on it's own, so I can't leave it to do anything overnight or anything. It's really annoying.
I think there are various possible causes, first of all, the specific ram i got is not listed as compatible, secondly, the power supply could be a dud, I'm sure there are more possible problems as well, fan issues? the cpu fan?
