While using OCCT to establish a baseline of the current status of two sticks of DDR3 memory, OCCT immediate 'crashes' when I start the test. This is not a computer crash. The OCCT software crashes. It says 'Crashed' on the screen with no results.
NOTE: The computer is running fine (no crashes) and some testing of the temperatures with OCCT are mostly in the normal range except for the GPU. I will be cleaning the GPU fan shortly.
What does OCCT mean when it says 'Crashed" on the memory test?

Solution
I am still running windows 7
That strongly indicates that the issue you have is strictly software related.

W7 isn't updated any more, but other sowtwares are coming in new versions all the time, and the authors of most doesn't support W7 - or at least cannot guarantee their sw will work on W7.
Have you re-installed windows during that time ?
I attempted to install Windows 10 only to learn that my motherboard will not support it. So that install was a FAIL. I am still running windows 7.
MORE INFO: I ran MemTest86 through about 3 full passes and it had no errors. So, my thinking is that OCCT has an issue with my hardware for an unknown reason. Has anyone seen a 'CRASH' message in OCCT? Remember that the computer did not crash or stop.
