OC'd E5500 vs Q9650!

hi, guys! I got these two processors and wondering which one would give me better performance paired with gtx 750ti. I know that e5500 got 2 cores less than Q9650 but it's great clocker I think I can push it to 4.5GHZ with a decent cooler while Q9650 would be clocked @3.6Ghz max as I got an old xfx mobo so I think it wouldn't be stable beyond 400FSB.
So in your opinion which is better? More cores or more clock speed?
