I just recently built 2 PCs with Intel's Pentium g3258 CPUs. The 1st build is on a MSI z97 PC Mate mobo with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo heatsink. After some mild overclocking to only 4.0ghz, my avg idle temperature is ~55C and when gaming,, it goes up to ~65C.

The 2nd PC is using Intel's Stock cooler on a Asus z97i mobo. This one is OC'ed to 4.5ghz and the idel temp is 32C and ~38C while gaming. I am wondering why the temps are so different? Do you think I should redo the thermals/heatsink on the Hyper 212 Evo?

Yes, you should redo the installation of the heatsink and thermal paste on the Hyper 212. But you may have run into a case of two individual processors that, while ostensibly identical, show vastly different operational characteristics.

Other differences may come from the cases in which the systems are installed, other components installed and even the location of the cases.
