OC'ing my E7500

Hello community.

I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to OC'ing, never done it before.

I have the Intel E7500 and the EP43-UD3L.

I have a standard heat sink and fan on my CPU and 2 other fans on my case.

What are the steps I need to take to OC safely and optimize the system?

It's for an EP35-DS3L but all theGigabyte Core2 BIOS's are similar.

For a serious overclock, you will need better cooling. Here are three under $50 heatsinks that are pretty popular:

They all require a somewhat different approach to applying thermal compound.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check those threads out. Also do I have to have a cooler if I want to pump up my 2.93 ghz to a 3.3 for example?

You may be able to get by with the stock cooler for what is basically a 10% overclock.

Keep your CPU load temperatures under 70 C.

Just oc the fsb and DO NOT increase your vcore than your stock cooler will do its job just fine.again 65C is the hottest you should allow your 45nm cpu to go.
