[SOLVED] OCing my RAM

See specs in my sig. I am wanting to play the new Modern Warfare, but I don't want to build a new machine for another year. I OC'd my CPU and got a liquid cooler. Now I want a little more. I know I will need a new GPU, but that will be next. Now I want to OC my RAM.

I tried OCing the RAM from a couple of tutorials and videos, but it wasn't stable.

Any tips would be helpful.

Just up the speed till it becomes unstable then backtrack to the highest stable speed. If it can't go above stock speed it's just unlucky not much you can really do.

Intel CPUs see very little benefit from faster RAM. Even if you could get a stable overclock, I don't think you'd see much difference.

Even if your monitor only runs at 1920x1080 @ 60Hz, if I were to hazard a guess, I'd say your RX470 is what's holding you back.
