I'm brand new to OCing and, presumably because it's a new architecture, I can't find any OCing guides, or much literature at all, for the i5 6600k.
I'm running on the MSI Gaming M5 with a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 and the Game Boost brings me up to 4.1. But, for some reason, I have trouble manually OCing at all. I can't get past 4.0 using the Intel software without getting a BSOD.
I'm wondering if it's because I don't know how, when, and to what degree I should increase voltage, so I've been avoiding that. I also don't quite get what the cache speed is.
On one hand, I don't think I really need the CPU boost that badly. On the other, I do want to get the best out of my system, and more importantly, I'd like to better understand the ins and outs of my rig.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
