so if u was to overclock this card with say an nforce 2 mobo like the nf7-s how far would u be able to OC it at stock voltage levels before it is unstable

Well that depends on your CPU core... some reahc only 2.1 GHz, other 2.5 GHz with no problems.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM 😱

Depends on what cooling, and what chip you get. I was lucky, I can push mine to 2.6ghz no problem without changing vcore. A friend of mine using the same cooling as me, same mobo, but could only get to 2.2ghz

I'm thinking of overclocking the 2500. I've heard that the multiplier is locked on some of the AMD's is it on this one?
How would I unlock it, because I'm thinking of using a 333mhz max board (Asus A7V8X-X)so I obviously have to be able to change the multiplier.

Someday we'll have wormhole computing. Processing in effectively no time.

The Barton 2500+ should be unlocked for the lower multipliers (12.5x and below)... only the Palomino's and some rare new T-breds are locked.

BTW that board would also allow yo FSV speeds above the 333MHz.

Tech53 think about upgrading to the a7n8x, or Gigabyte GA7v8x the a7n8x will get you the 215FSB which i got, and the Gigabyte will get you 18* multiplier.
