Hi everyone! :)

I ahev recently built a budget build off an asus h81m-k and a Pentium G3258. Now, I know that almost everyone will lash out and say 'You should've bought a more decent z97 mobo!' but I have to ask even still. The asus page and the newegg page for it both state that it is compatible with the AI Suite 3, but I have tried the generic version and it says that my mobo is not compatible. Also, when in the bios, the multiplier is not locked, but the highest the 'max' multiplier will go is 32, and only when I am syncing all cores. In the ai tweaker menu (where this is all happening) the vcore limit is nowhere to be seen. I have been ocing the igpu a small bit in XTU, but (of course) the situation is the same as the bios, and the oc'd gpu is pretty trivial.

Thank You!

Is bios version 1002 the latest one? I didn't flash the bios but did update it. Should I flash it?

Sorry if I am being a bit noobish, I am only 11 years old :)

Ok. I got Ai Suite installed, but I still want to oc from the bios, and the settings are the same. Would I have been better off with an Asus H81 Plus? (and) What should I do now?

thx a bunch! 😀

Update: Also, I do now have access to the vcore voltage. If I pump the threshhold on that, will it let the multiplier in the AI Tweaker go higher?

Don`t change the Vcore yet, change the multiplier.
From your current settings bump buy 1 or to, let`s say from 35-36-37 and then check for stability, continue this until your system crashes.
If it crashes go to bios and bump up your voltage, let`s say from 1.200 = 1.220 and then check again for stability.

Should I change the multiplier from XTU, AI Suite III, or the BIOS?
If it is the BIOS, the multiplier, while it is not locked, cannot be put more than 32 for the max.

My version of Ai Suite III only has the performance utilities and there is no TPU tab under TurboV. Also tried in XTU and multiplier won't go beyond 32. Not sure what to do. :|

Thanks for all the help!
