OK my friend wants to overclock his sony computer he got for xmas last year.

Intel P 3 866MHz

133Mhz FSB

40GB ATA66

16x DVD

8X4X32X CDRW


Not sure what the motherboard is the sony site didnt say.....


He wants to get at least 1Ghz can anyone offer help?

I could be wrong but I'd be seriously suprised if Sony left anything on there that will let him.

He could try softfsb, but he needs to know what mobo it's using.

Sony seem so intent to prevent anyone having any illicit fun with their products (region coding, magic gate etc.) it wouldn't surprise me if the pc was set to self destruct after ocing or something!!!!
