Hi all,
Last night I was playing a game on my Octane III gaming laptop, which I had purchased from PC Specialists last year. I was playing when all of a sudden my screen went black and without any notifications or warnings, it completely switched off, the laptop was sitting on a desk so it was not moved in a particular way to make something loose.
The battery light was glowing orange, so I tried to turn it back on by pressing the power button, however; I heard a faint clicking sound within the computer somewhere and the glowing orange light flashed out. I held down the power button and the light just blinked as I held it down (accompanied by the clicking sound).
I know it is not the fault of the battery, but it could be the AC/DC adapter, it was very hot that day and could of sustained heat damage, therefore not supplying the laptop with power. I'm not sure.
Luckily I still have the warranty if I need to send it back, but I think I will order a new adapter first as I think it is the cause.
I have tried a hard reset and making sure each port was clear of any oxidization,
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
