I already have flight simulator games with Oculus rift support just waiting for a VR headset.
I always liked flight sims but felt there was a severe limitation with a 2D display. Even though most sims have the first person cockpit view you end up having to use the exterior 3rd person view because of the limited field of vision and the added complexity of panning around the view. Games like Digital Combat Simulator are so realistic that It is difficult to keep track of an airfield when landing , let alone a target on the ground without constantly panning the view . I gave up on DCS until I get a hold of a VR headset. In the mean time I’ll just play War thunder in 3rd person view until I can switch to the cockpit view through a VR headset.
