Whenever I set it to something higher, the bios stops detecting the HDD and won't boot up, I tried upping voltage and changing timing. Currently it's at its default (originally timing was not set to its default on first startup) of 5-5-5-10.

Anyone know why?

Pentium D 805 with Zalman CNPS9500
Asus P5LD2
BFG 7900GT OC with Zalman VF900-CU

the 805 is stock at 533 fsb. You're saying your mem is working at 600mhz .. if your divider is 1:1 so is your processor. If your proc is at 600 and your mem is at default timings BEFORE you oc...then your mem should be well over 800 atm

Reading around, I noticed a common complaint about that motherboard and ocz memory, mem speed problems etc etc.

Update your bios, should fix the problem.
