Odd bracken Shipped w/ Mobo

MSI K9N SLI Platinum:

This odd bracket shipped with my mother board.

I have no idea what it's use could be, except for more ventilation.

Is there any other purpose for this odd looking bracket?

That my friend is a SLI bridge retention bracket. when the sli bridge is placed on the two video cards that can be used to hold it in place.
