Hello. I just put together a new build and I'm running into an odd issue when I try to install windows 7.
Build Specs:
MoBo: ASUS Prime H270M http://www.microcenter.com/product/473022/PRIME_H270-PLUS-CSM_LGA_1151_ATX_Intel_Motherboard
CPU: i7-7700 http://www.microcenter.com/product/472531/Core_i7-7700_Kaby_Lake_36_GHz_LGA_1151_Boxed_Processor
Ram: EVGA 16GB (2x8) DDR4-3000 http://www.microcenter.com/product/459741/16GB_2_x_8GB_DDR4-3000_(PC4-24000)_CL15_Desktop_Memory_Kit
HardDrive: WD Blue 1TB http://www.microcenter.com/product/415198/Blue_Mainstream_1TB_7200RPM_SATA_III_6Gb-s_35_Internal_Hard_Drive_-_WDBH2D0010HNCNRSN
GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 1050 Ti http://www.microcenter.com/product/472833/GeForce_GTX_1050_Ti_4GB_GDDR5_Dual-Fan_Video_Card
PSU: Only reused component from old build, in good working order
I started reusing the Hard Drive from the old build also, but it couldn't repair with so much different in the hardware.
So I wiped the drive and tried that. That's when I got the OxcOOOOOOe error.
I followed the advice on this post http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2744141/error-code-0xc000000e.html but it still does that.
So thinking there's something wrong with the hard drive, I bought the new one.
Now what I get is...nothing. I turn on the computer with the windows 7 disc in and/or the USB I made with the Windows 7 disc on it, and the screen flashes bright and dark a few times, and then it goes back to the BIOS screen.
I'm terribly out of my depth right now because I've never encountered an issue installing windows that changing to a new hard drive didn't fix.
I've changed out the sata cords, and switched the ports I was using. No effect.
I've built 4 computers in my life and am still learning about stuff but this is baffling to me and my google skills are either not up to the task or the info isn't really out there regarding this situation (probably the former).
I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.
