I've browsed TH for a while now, but never had a question of my own that was unique enough to post. Here is my issue, I'm looking at external NAS hard drives like with WD My Cloud (or similar). The issue that I have is as follows, living in a bilingual house hold (I live in Spain) my wife and I tend to watch shows in English, with Spanish subtitles. I've tried all types of media servers, Windows, Plex, etc., and have tried using WD Media Live, Roku, Apple TV, OUYA and XBox to try and feed videos and their associated subtitles to the TV. We only have a USB input, and if I connect and external USB hard drive to the TV directly, provided that it is in a format the TV can read we can watch videos with subtitles. What I want to circumvent is having to take the external drive and connect it to a PC several times a week to reload content. So I was wondering if I could use an external NAS hdd and connect the USB to the TV and copy content to the drive via the network connection? I've never worked with a NAS before (no need to do so), and every drive that I've seen mentions you can connect USB devices to them, and copy the content, but I wasn't sure if the USB port could be used in this capacity. Is anyone else using a NAS in a similar fashion?
