Odd pixelated display

OK so im not really an expert on these things but Today i was playing a game and suddenly y screen went something like this, so i decided to restart my computer but it still looks like this (http://prntscr.com/3ig0ax), Im just wondering what could have caused this.

Yes, Im using a Tv for a monitor while the one i ordered arrives.

Get a better a HDMI cable, one that has gold plated connectors! PC's are picky with HDMI cables. Or try moving yours around,see if it fixes it. Good Luck!
