basically i bought an m1 mac, a 60hz hdmi cable, and i had a 32inch dell monitor, i plugged my mac in, did a virus scan, and the screen turned green, then blinked, then my monitor and tv got hazy

my screen showed a pattern of leds that burned in image in me, i think it was a hacker because of two reasons: this kid i grew up with works at a cable station (kron4) and they probably hacked me because ive been writing software ever since i was in middle school, or anonymous because i was talking on their channel on irc

anyways, my tv is fried (colors look like paper), my monitors hazy, and im running out of money

i now have an hp envy bought by my mom

also the anti virus is norton anti virus for mac/pc

Update your post to include full system hardware spec and OS information.

Include TV and monitors.

Regarding "basically i bought an m1 mac, a 60hz hdmi cable, and i had a 32inch dell monitor".

All new? If so, any warranties?

Try another known working (no image problems) HDMI cable.

Try another known working TV/monitor - likewise without any known image problems.

Try another known working computer of any sort (that hp envy perhaps?) with your current monitor and cable.

Objective being to determine if the screen problems follow monitor, the cable, or the computer.

Very unlikely that you were hacked. And most current TVs and monitors take a long time to "burn in an image".

And if you are concerned about future hacking then change all login names and passwords.

Or go a bit further and simply reinstall the full macOS on the macm1.

All new? If so, any warranties? dell was years old, i got and replaced 2 different lg uhd monitors with hdr, all monitors were affected by the time i plugged in my cables and booted/powered on

Try another known working (no image problems) HDMI cable. ive tried one or two hdmi and display cables, same result

destroyed 3 monitors and 3 tvs, must be electrical
