Hello, I am on Windows 7 and I got a new 3TB Western Digital Red straight out of a sealed package for use as a second storage. Disk manager showed two unallocated partitions (2048,00GB and 746,52GB) upon detecting the drive. I can't seem to merge them. I can't even delete or create a volume out of the smaller one. I can make a volume out of the larger one but cannot extend it. I've tried to check for partitions in CMD and it said there were no partitions listed. Bad sectors, bad cable or something else? Please help.

Here is HDDScan's report after a quick check.

This is what disk manager shows me.

This is what EaseUS Partition Master shows me.

And what it shows me when I try to create a volume.

Solution
I converted the drive from MBR into GPT in the disk manager and the entire volume is now available to me. I formatted this for NTFS and created a fresh volume without any problem. I hope this helps anyone else who might've had a similar experience.
