OEM Bios vs Retail Motherboard BIOS

I have a motherboard ASUS H81M-E, but an OEM version (in a desktop ASUS M31AD).
I want to upgrade my CPU (Xeon E3-1231v3), which it requires BIOS version 809.
So I downloaded BIOS v809 here, but my OEM motherboard BIOS didnt accept it.

After a short research I found OEM BIOS download page, but it only has versions up to 802.

So my question is: Will the CPU work with this BIOS?

On Asus Desktop and Retail Boxed motherboard models, the BIOS are not interchangeable.

This would mean that the version of the motherboard that's in your tower is not meant to accept that CPU.

Asus doesn't publish a CPU Support List for your model. The BIOS updates are not for newer CPU models. You probably could use CPUs that are supported by the 211 BIOS on the Retail Boxed motherboard. No guarantees, any CPU changes would be an experiment on your part.
