Hi,

so I bought the Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit (incl. SP1) OEM software from amazon. Since i live in Europe, it comes advertised with a free upgrade code for Windows 7. Anyways, right now all I thought that was necessary to do was to turn on my brand new custom built computer (comes without OS), put the disc into my drive, then reboot and it would recognize the disc and start the installation process.

But this might sound noobish, but I have received TWO discs with my OEM Vista purchase. One of them is inside a white paper & see-thru plastic protection and it reads: "Disc for pre-install - for Microsoft system builders only", and it also says WIndows Vista OEM Preinstallation Kit.

The other disc is within the sealed DVD-case of Vista (green cover and all), kinda has a golden surface with a design and says: "Licensed only for distribution with a new PC.", and simply says "Windows Vista Home Premium."

Now which of these two discs should I put into my new computer to install the OS first and, what use does the other disc have?

Kindly awaiting your answers. :bounce:
