OEM key clean install?

So i want to purchase a win10 OEM key for my laptop. I understand those keys can only be used on one motherboard exclusively, but i want to know, if i were to activate the key on my laptop, than after that do a clean install of win10, will i be able to use the same key?

Yes. Also the only versions of Win 10 that are tied to the motherboard are pre-installled OEM copies, store bought OEM copies are like retail keys and can be moved to a new system using a microsoft account.

Yes you can. If your laptop came with Windows 10. You don’t need a new key. Just clean install the same version you have now (home, Pro).

It should be recognized by the MS activation server. If you don’t know the key. Just in case. You can use Produkey to find your current license key. Then print it out before the clean install.

Great, thank you. I actually transfered my win10 license from my laptop to my desktop, so i want to license my laptop's OS to get the updates.
