I'm thinking of buying a mobo OEM -- priced at $100 without rebates instead of $120 - $130 after rebates.

I guess I'll have to buy some SATA cables but they seem to cost $2 or so each -- that's maybe $8 for a HDD, DVD and a couple of spares..

So is there something stupid about buying a mobo OEM? Newegg only seems to have a 15 day return policy for these but not sure how bad this is.. no warranty for the mobo either I guess.

Thanks!

What's the cost difference when you purchase all of the $2-3 dollar cables? Are you saving something like $10?

I'd just buy the packaged one with the warranty and the cables. That's up to you, but I wouldn't take the risk for $10.
