Hello I was looking to purchase either XP pro 64Bit or Vista Home Premium 64Bit at my local computer store, but i notice it says OEM, what does this mean? Thanks.

It means:

1. It is only supposed to be installed on one computer. This translates to one motherboard. It can be installed on that motherboard as many times as needed, but if you switch motherboards after registering the product you will have to call up MS and convince them the change was needed.

2. You are supposed to support it yourself. You can't call MS up and ask for free help figuring out how to use their OS.

Thanks so it cant be installed in more than one computer, if MS doesn't believe the story then i'd have to buy it again? And where can i buy a non-OEM version then? Thanks
